A WOMENS ISLAND RETREAT
Lets explore the sacred island of Limnos together!
Greece, 10-17 May 2025
“Today, to walk along the pebbled pathways of a traditional Greek mountain village or the marbled streets of an ancient Acropolis is to step back in time.”
Laura Brooks
Join me for a week in Limnos, a hidden gem in the northern Aegean Sea. This Greek island is known for its unspoiled beauty, rich history, and tranquil atmosphere. Limnos offers a peaceful escape with its golden sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and charming traditional villages, unlike its more tourist-heavy counterparts.
During our week together, we will immerse ourselves in the sacred energy of this beautiful Greek island. Limnos holds a profound sacredness through its rich mythological and spiritual heritage. Known as the home of Hephaestus, the god of fire, who was believed to have landed on the island after being cast from Olympus, Limnos is linked to the divine through its volcanic landscapes, sacred to his forge. It also features in the myth of Philoctetes, symbolizing suffering and healing. The island's Kabeirion Sanctuary was a center for secret religious rites honoring the Kabeiroi deities, while 'terra lemnia, the island's sacred earth, was prized for its healing properties. Even with its Christian monasteries, like the Monastery of Agios Sozon, Limnos retains an aura of sanctity, blending ancient pagan and Christian traditions. Its natural beauty, volcanic formations, and serene landscapes further add to its spiritual depth, making Limnos a sacred and healing place in Greece’s spiritual landscape.
"A woman in harmony with her spirit is like a river flowing. She goes where she will without pretense and arrives at her destination prepared to be herself." — Maya Angelou
Spring is a vibrant season of renewal and rebirth, symbolizing nature's awakening after the stillness of winter. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this time is associated with the Wood Element, which embodies growth, vitality, and creativity. Just as trees begin to bud and flowers bloom, the Wood element encourages us to embrace new beginnings and set intentions for personal growth and transformation. This seasonal shift invites us to cultivate our inner strength and resilience while celebrating our aliveness and the profound joy of just being!
During our week together on this enchanting Greek island, we will immerse ourselves in the energies of rebirth, transformation, and growth through the powerful practices of Kundalini Yoga, Qigong, and Energy Medicine. With breathtaking sea views and the island’s natural beauty surrounding us, we will embark on a journey of self-discovery and reconnection to the sacred. Through journaling, self-inquiry, breathwork, and deep meditation, we will release anything that has held us back from taking the next step on our beautiful journey through life.
We will reignite our passion by connecting with fun, wise, like-minded women while exploring the island’s historic and sacred sites. We will indulge in shopping and wine tasting, canoe along the picturesque coastline, and swim in the crystal-clear turquoise sea.
We will also take time to unwind in nature, basking in the warmth of the sun and sea. This week, dedicated to self-care and community, invites you to renew your spirit, deepen your connection to the sacred, and embrace the beauty of life, leaving you inspired and revitalized upon your return home.
