Kundalini Yoga Day Retreat
18 January - Das Graseck
Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Teachings are in English
Join me for a transformative day retreat at the breathtaking Graseck. We will immerse ourselves in a beautiful environment and reconnect through Kundalini Yoga, Yin Yoga, Walking Meditation, Breathwork, Meditation, and Mantra.
We'll delve into the Five Elements and the subtle body, discovering how to weave a deeper connection with nature into our everyday lives. We'll also learn simple yet powerful Energy Medicine techniques to enhance sleep, balance emotions, and relieve stress.
**Winter / Water Element**
Winter is a time of small death, a sacred pause in the cycle of life, where the outward world seems to retreat into stillness and silence. It is a transition, a turning inward, as nature sheds its vibrant exterior and takes refuge in the quiet of the dark months. This period of dormancy mirrors our own moments of inner transformation, where we, too, must release what no longer serves us—heavy frequencies, habits, beliefs, and energies that have run their course. Winter invites us to honor this space of surrender, not as an end, but as a necessary transition before our rebirth in Spring. In the stillness of Winter, we die to the old, making way for the new to be born. It is a time of letting go, of retreating into the depths where the seeds of our potential are quietly germinating, preparing to emerge, grow, and create when the time is right.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Winter is associated with the Water Element. It's a season of deep, abundant yin energy—feminine, intuitive, and nurturing. It resonates with the power of the Womb/Hara Chakra, guiding us to reconnect with our natural rhythms and the cycles of nature itself. Winter invites us to slow down, surrender, and listen closely to the body's need for stillness, silence, and rest. It is a time to honor our connection to our ancestors and the energy of rebirth, emotion, and the subconscious mind.
The Water Element represents purification, intuition, and the mysteries of the self. It is through this element that we access our deeper wisdom. We need only be still and allow this inner knowing to emerge. Women are especially attuned to realms beyond ordinary perception, as we are the givers of life. Men also have this ability through their energetic Hara, the vitality center of man.
In Winter, the veils between the worlds are thinnest. It's a time when our inner depths and shadows are most accessible to us. While these spaces are often uncomfortable and avoided, they hold great potential for healing, renewal, and growth. We open ourselves to profound transformation when we embrace and reconnect with our darkness.
The Water Element teaches us to be comfortable in our bodies and environment. It fosters wisdom, hope, peace, gentleness, compassion, and enthusiasm. We experience an innate joy of being independent of external circumstances.
In this space, we possess an inner strength. We have the courage, willpower, and determination to face challenges with resilience. We become spontaneous, able to flow gracefully with whatever life presents.
Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini is a powerful, primal energy that represents the unmanifested potential within us. Kundalini Yoga is an ancient technology that, through movement, breathwork, mantra, and meditation, helps us to awaken this energy so we can become the very best version of ourselves.
Kundalini Yoga is a complete practice and is suitable for everyone. It has played a major part in my recovery to health and happiness, and to this day, I am still in awe of the power of these ancient techniques.
